In the third quarter of 2015 470 endangered missing children were shared on AMBER Alert Europe’s website. Compared to last year’s numbers in July, August and September this is an increase of 12.4%.

For 5 children an AMBER Alert was issued. The Czech Republic already accounts for 4 of these AMBER Alerts: 1 in July, 2 in August and 1 in September. The 5th AMBER Alert was issued in France (August). All children were boys, with an average age of 8.7 years old. Happily all children were successfully recovered.

Facts & figures

  • Children recovered within one month: 72.5%
  • Hungary accounts for 38.1% of all missing children in Q3 2015, followed by Poland (28.1%)
  • Average age of the endangered missing children: 13 years old
  • Most children were girls: 55,7%
