In January, February and March, AMBER Alert Europe shared 10 Child Alerts with the public. 8 of these Child Alerts had a successful ending. In February, a French infant girl was found deceased. For two sisters from Greece, who went missing in March, the search still continues.

On February 8th, a French Alerte Enlèvement was issued for the 1-year-old Vanille from Angers. The infant girl was taken by her mother, who failed to return the child to her foster family after an arranged visit. The next day, the remains of the girl were found in a clothing dumpster. The mother was apprehended in a hotel and confessed to taking her daughter’s life.

A month later, on March 15th, a Greek AMBER Alert was issued for two sisters, 9-year-old Elisabeth-Maria and 4-year-old Rafaela-Yozefin Stathopoulou from Amaliada. The girls, who are presumed to be in the company of their father, remain missing.
