In January, February and March, AMBER Alert Europe shared eight Child Alerts with the public. All children were recovered safe and sound.

On March 3rd, a Polish Child Alert was issued for a 3-year-old girl, who was abducted together with her mother. Around 10 AM that day, they were pushed into a vehicle by two masked men. Fortunately, both mother and daughter were recovered in good health the following day.

Urgent missing children cases

While many more children go missing in Europe, AMBER Alerts or Child Alerts are only used in the most urgent cases. Police issue such alerts when they believe a missing or abducted child’s life is in imminent danger and the public can help in the search for the child.
