Since 2015, AMBER Alert Europe partner Österreich findet euch has been assisting the Austrian authorities in the search for missing people. The NGO is the connecting link between the police and the public, sharing missing persons cases through their websites and social media.

Furthermore, the organisation offers support to relatives of missing persons, such as psychological support by trained professionals, assistance in dealing with public authorities, or public relations work. ‘’People who are confronted with a missing relative often feel helpless. Their lives change fundamentally in many aspects and we want to support them in the best way possible’’, says Österreich findet euch founder Christian Mader.

As an official in the Federal Ministry of Interior – Criminal Intelligence Service, Mader was responsible for the search of missing persons for the city and the province of Vienna. As a result of his past experiences as a police officer in the field of missing persons, he founded the association.
