The AMBER Alert Europe Foundation is delighted to announce that Mr. Alan Rhees-Cooper, Staff Officer to the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) Missing People Lead, joins AMBER Alert Europe’s Advisory Board, effective April 25th, 2023.
With 33 years of police service, Rhees-Cooper brings a wealth of experience to the Board, having specialised in missing persons since 2004 when he was appointed Missing Person Lead in the West Yorkshire Force. In his current role as Staff Officer to the NPCC Missing People Lead, he works with all 46 UK police forces in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, developing the UK policing response to missing persons.
Alan Rhees-Cooper said, “It is a privilege to join the Advisory Board, and I look forward to working with such a dedicated team committed to improving the international response to missing children, raising awareness, sharing best practice, and contributing to the safeguarding of vulnerable children.”
As a member of the Advisory Board, Rhees-Cooper’s expertise in the area of missing persons will be a significant addition to the foundation’s efforts to prevent child abduction and protect missing children.
We are thrilled to welcome him to the Advisory Board and look forward to working together to make a positive impact on the safety of children across Europe.
