BRUSSELS/PRAGUE- The Czech Parliament gives AMBER Alert Europe its full support. By signing AMBER Alert Europe’s plan of action the Czech Parliament intends to work closely with AMBER Alert Europe to further expand the Czech child alert and to improve cross-border cooperation concerning endangered missing children.
At the signing on April 28th, the Czech Parliament was represented by the Standing Committee on the Family Affairs and Gender Equality chaired by Radka Maxova (ANO, the centrist coalition party). AMBER Alert Europe’s plan was supported by members of all major political parties in the Czech Republic, including some known and influential political figures, such as Dana Vahalova of the Social Democratic Party CSSD and Helena Langsadlova, deputy chairwoman of the conservative party TOP 09.

In March, AMBER Alert already received the support of the Czech Ministry of the Interior, when its Senior Security Officer, Dr. Petra Binkova, joined AMBER Alert Europe’s Board of Directors. “I am thrilled about the strong support we have received, but this is only the first step”, says Frank Hoen, president of AMBER Alert Europe. “I would like to invite other countries to sign up and work together with us to improve the protection of endangered missing children across Europe.”
