AMBER Alert Europe assists European countries in creating and/ or further improving their national child alerting system or national AMBER Alert. Among these countries are Poland, United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Italy, the Slovak Republic, Luxembourg, Malta, and Switzerland.
Malta (2017), Luxembourg (2016) and the Slovak Republic (2015) have a national AMBER Alert in place developed by AMBER Alert Europe.
In 2008, a national AMBER Alert was launched in the Netherlands in collaboration between Netpresenter B.V. (activities later taken over by the AMBER Alert Europe Foundation), the Public Prosecution Service and the Dutch National Police. On 23 November 2021, the Dutch AMBER Alert was fully transferred to the Dutch National Police. AMBER Alerts are now exclusively issued by the Dutch National Police in cooperation with Burgernet.
We organise empowerment and prevention workshops for children at schools.
Taking and sharing naked pictures of yourself can have serious consequences. We have created a campaign to make teenagers aware of the risks involved in sexting.
