On Thursday August 25th, the Czech Police issued a Child Alert for a 14-year old boy from Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic. The child has now been found. The boy, who suffers from Crohn’s disease, went missing when he left the hospital on Wednesday August 24.

A Czech Child Alert allows police officers to inform the public quickly via the news and via e-mail. The National Coordination Mechanism of the Search for Missing Children (NKMPPD), part of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic, is responsible for issuing nation-wide Child Alerts in the Czech Republic.
