Marijana Petir, Member of the European Parliament, calls for an AMBER Alert system in Croatia. In order to establish a national AMBER Alert system, she urges the Croatian government to join forces with AMBER Alert Europe.
Currently, Croatia does not have an AMBER Alert system in place. Therefore Ms. Petir calls on the Croation Ministry of the Interior, which is in charge of the Missing Persons Department, to set up a national AMBER Alert system together with AMBER Alert Europe. When a child is missing, every information can be crucial. The AMBER Alert system is designed to involve all citizens in the search for missing children.
Ms. Petir is among 465 MEPs who publicly back AMBER Alert Europe’s 5 point plan and signed the Written Declaration on improving European cooperation on saving the lives of missing children. The Written Declaration is the most successful Declaration since 2011.
