“The judicial authorities did not have the time to launch an abduction alert” (TF1)

A nine year old girl was found dead on Wednesday April 15 near Calais after she had been abducted by a man in a red car. Several French media reported the judicial authorities did not have the time to launch an abduction alert.

According to the French news paper Le Figaro, the dead and naked body of the girl was found shortly after her kidnapping at 15:30 in the afternoon. Her body showed signs of strangulation and the police assumes that she has been sexually abused. The French police took a Polish suspect into custody. (Le Figaro)

No Alerte Enlévèment issued
The French authorities did not issue an Alerte Enlévèment, the French AMBER Alert system. According to France Bleu, the judicial authorities did not have the time to launch an abduction alert. TF1 reported that the abduction alert had not been triggered because launching an alert takes too much time.
