AMBER Alert Europe is delighted to welcome Professor David Keatley of Murdoch University, Australia, to its Scientific Advisory Board. Professor Keatley is an internationally recognised criminologist, with expertise in crime science, behaviour sequence analysis, forensic psychology, and current and cold case review. His appointment further strengthens the Board’s scientific research and cold case expertise.

Professor Keatley is Professor of Criminology and Chair of Crime Science at Murdoch University. He is also Director of Researchers in Behaviour Sequence Analysis (ReBSA), an international research network focused on analysing patterns of behaviour in real-world contexts. His work combines academic research with applied methods used in criminal and forensic investigations.

In addition to his academic work, Professor Keatley applies his expertise to ongoing police investigations and cold criminal cases, particularly in the areas of homicide investigation, behavioural analysis and cold case review. He is also a core group member of our International Cold Case Analysis Project (ICCAP).

As a member of the Scientific Advisory Board, Professor Keatley will contribute his expertise in criminology, behavioural science and cold case analysis to support AMBER Alert Europe’s work across evidence-based research, capacity building/training and policy.

The Scientific Advisory Board brings together leading experts to support AMBER Alert Europe’s work across prevention, child protection, professional training, research, and policy, ensuring that innovation serves the best interests of missing and endangered children.
