On August 12th, AMBER Alert Europe was consulted by the Federal Police in Switzerland. The meeting brought together specialist from the Federal Police, SIRENE and the Federal Office of Justice in the field of missing children.

Aim of the meeting was to exchange good practices to improve the better protection of missing children. AMBER Alert Europe was represented by President Frank Hoen and European Alert Coordinator and law enforcement missing persons specialist Charlie Hedges.

AMBER Alert Europe is actively working with countries on improving the protection of missing children following its 5-point plan. These 5 recommendations to save missing children are also supported by a great majority of 465 Members of European Parliament, representing all European Member States and political parties.
