Today, AMBER Alert Europe and the Dutch National Police signed an agreement to continue AMBER Alert Netherlands. From the 23rd of November on, the Dutch National Police will take over the issuing of Dutch AMBER Alerts from AMBER Alert Europe.

“We are very proud that we were able to come to an agreement that will surely benefit missing children in the Netherlands in the future”, says Frank Hoen, Founder and Chairman of AMBER Alert Europe. Since 2008, the Dutch AMBER Alert system has been deployed 1042 times. In 94 percent of the cases, the child was found alive and well.

AMBER Alert Netherlands is used to share AMBER Alerts (1-2 times a year) and Vermist Kind Alerts (15 times a year) for missing children whose life or well-being is in imminent danger.
