AMBER Alert Europe is proud to introduce its newest member, SA Kadunud from Estonia. Since 2008, Kadunud has been assisting the Estonian authorities in the search for missing persons.

By the end of 2016 Kadunud was involved in 203 missing person cases of which the majority was solved.

To aid in the search for missing persons, Kadunud focuses on two main areas: operative searches and activities to locate a person that is most likely deceased. Since time is of the essence, Kadunud has optimised its processes and tools to be as effective as possible during those critical first hours. The organisation can, for example, issue a missing person alert or a missing child alert, called a KatrinAlert. A KatrinAlert is similar to an AMBER Alert. It informs the public by displaying information about a missing child and his/ her picture on screens on public transport, in shopping malls, etc.
