The first Polish Child Alert (AMBER Alert) was issued on April 15th 2015 for a 10-year old girl from Szczecin, Poland, close to the German border. The girl was found safe and well the same day in Germany.
“She was found in a car with her abductor along the side of a highway in Germany, near the town of Friedland some 80 kilometers from the Polish border”, says a Polish Police spokesman. The Polish and the German Police closely cooperated in the successful recovery of the girl.
Child abductors do not stop at borders. Neither should an AMBER Alert.

Soon after the abduction, there were strong indications that the girl was taken to Germany. Thanks to great cooperation between the Polish and the German police and dissemination of information by the German NGO Initiative Vermisste Kinder and AMBER Alert Europe, the missing girl was recovered quickly.
