A mere two hours after a Dutch AMBER Alert was issued, a passerby recognised the child in the car and immediately called the police. “Bizarre! I have found the child in a cafe in Groningen after an #amberalert.” The boy was recovered safe and sound.
On June 15th, 2013, an AMBER Alert was issued in the Netherlands after a 4-year old boy was abducted in Groningen (close to the German border). Millions of Dutch citizens have received information about the car and its license plate. Thanks to the help of Initiative Vermisste Kinder, the Dutch AMBER Alert was spread in Germany. Next to the Dutch citizens who helped look for Jayden, hundreds of thousands of German citizens saw Jayden’s picture.
