On Saturday, January 6th, an Alerte Enlèvement was issued for a 2 month old boy from Haute-Garonne, France. The alert has now been cancelled. The infant was found alive.
The French police issued the Alerte Enlèvement after the infant, who is very ill and in desperate need of medical attention, was taken by his 33-year-old father from Purpan de Toulouse hospital on Friday night.
Alerte Enlèvement is the French missing children alert system. It allows police officers to inform French citizens quickly via TV, radio, social media, highway signs, vocal messages, apps, email and SMS text messages.
