The police in the Czech Republic and Germany have successfully cooperated during the Czech Child Alerts that were issued for two girls from Karlsbad, Czech Republic on January 11th. Both girls were recovered on Wednesday January 13th.

The two 13-year-old girls went missing on Monday January 11th from Karlsbad, close to the German border. Although the Czech Police had no direct indications that the girls had crossed the border, the German police was asked to join the search.

Public joins the search

The Czech public was informed about the Child Alerts via national television and radio. With the help of AMBER Alert Europe and the German member Initiative Vermiste Kinder, citizens in Europe and Germany were asked to be on the lookout as well.
